New maternity ward opened in Zrenjanin

In the building of new hospital in Zrenjanin, new maternity ward has been opened today (March 24, 2008) at 1,500 square meters.

Manager of General Hospital, Dr Miša Mihajlov, said that 1.5m EUR from the loan approved by the World Bank had been invested in construction works and equipping of the maternity ward.

The maternity ward is on the first floor of the ten-storey building, in the construction of which 66.5m EUR has been invested over the past 25 years, mainly from the citizens' allowances.
