Minister of Agriculture of Serbia, Slobodan Milosavljević, opened ethno-park "Avlija" yesterday (March 23, 2008) in Mačva's village of Glušci and said that every village should have one such park in order to improve the development of tourism.

Milosavljević said that the Ministry of Agriculture set aside funds for development of rural tourism and that between 2 and 10m RSD were approved for the projects "that are very important".

According to the words of the Minister, cultural centers are not in function any more, so that the ethno-parks are the real place for preservation of historical heritage and tradition.

- On such places, the young can learn the customs, the manner in which the land used to be cultivated, or to find recipes for traditional dishes - said Milosavljević.
