Battery 50% full in 15 minutes

Qualcomm Technologies has reported that its latest processor will enable a phone battery to be charged so that it can last for five hours in only five minutes. This is not all – the Snapdragon 835 processor will be able to charge the battery up to 50% in only 15 minutes.

Following the announcement of the new Snapdragon 835 processor, the QuickCharge 4 technology is a small revolution in the speed of charging smartphone batteries. As they say at the company, the fourth generation of the battery charging technology is based on a more efficient charging and lower process temperatures.

Compared to QuickCharge 3.0, the new technology is 20% faster, 30% more efficient and up to 5°C colder during the electricity transfer.

This is a crucial fact when it comes to safety and protection from overheating.
