New open competition for financing of ecological NGO projects in April

City Administration will announce an open competition in April for allotment of funds for environment protection projects of non-government organizations for year 2008. This was announced at yesterday's (March 19, 2008) press conference at Old Court.

Nataša Đokić from the Environment Protection Secretariat of City of Belgrad said that the City had financed, partially or completely, 33 such projects in 2007.

- Total of 59 projects were submitted on the previous open competition, which was announced in October 2007 - said she and pointed out that the Secretariat had required about 32m RSD to finance all projects, which is much more than 6.5m RSD that were set aside for that purpose.
