Israeli "Plaza" to start construction of shopping mall in Kragujevac in July

- Israeli "Plaza" will start construction of shopping mall in Kragujevac, at 80,000 square meters, in July. This facility should be completed by the end of the next year - the representatives of that company announced yesterday (March 19, 2008).

The value of investment is 60m EUR. "Plaza Centers" in Kragujevac will have two storeys above the ground and two floors under the ground. It will hire about 2,000 citizens of Kragujevac.

According to the estimates, this is the first facility of "Plaza" in Serbia and it will be the most modern of all 30 that this company opened all over the world, because up-to-date architectural achievements will be used during its construction. Kragujevac-based complex will have a roof of foldable aluminum that will be changing color many times during the day.

The CEO of "Plaza" for Serbia, Sagiv Mager, said that the shopping mall would include trade stores, several cinemas, fun park, restaurant and other catering facilities, as well as 1,200 parking places.

Israeli company bought the lot at 2.4 ha on the auction in November 2007 at price of 19,000 EUR per are, in the oldest settlement in Kragujevac - Stara Radnička Kolonija.

The facility will be surrounded by green surface and, according to the announcement, there will be trees on every floor.

According to the words of the CEO of PMP group, local partner of "Plaza" for Serbia, Žarko Palović, local building companies will participate in construction of the facility in Kragujevac.
- During the first two years, "Plaza" in Kragujevac will employ managers of that company from Israel, and then they will be replaced by the managers from Kragujevac - said Pavlović.
