The date of closing down the other two coal mining sites, Jasenovac and Ibarski Rudnici, and the fate of 1,200 surplus workers will be determined by the end of the year.
This has been envisioned by the general plan of closing down the four mines prepared by the working group of the PE Resavica, which has shown that the production is not cost-effective.
The Ministry of Mining should approve the document next week, following which the Government should reach the decision on closing down the mines. A Blic source from the Government claims that the process will take three years.
