Bridge across Bay of Kotor 1,000 m long to be built

Montenegrin Directorate for Highways revived old idea of construction of bridge in Bay of Kotor, in gorge Verige, between Tivat and Herceg Novi. Preliminary solution should already be finished and documentation for tender for construction of that facility prepared. The open competition should be closed until the end of the year. Bridge Verige, as it is planned, will be 1,000 meters long and it will be 50 m above the sea level. The bridge will have two “legs“ in the sea and the entire structure will be supported by steel ropes. Construction of bridge should last 3 years.
