Google PhotoScan turns old photographs into digital images

The Google team behind the Google Photos app has launched a new app for turning old photographs into HR digital images. PhotoScan, available for iOS and Android, enables a quick scan of a large number of photographs.

The interface of PhotoScan is very simple, and the app doesn't even require users to register.

The app automatically connects to the camera and requires you to set the photo within a frame, following which four dots appear on the image. In order to scan the photograph, the phone needs to be moved until each dot is filled. Once all four have been checked, the scan is complete.

Photographs are automatically cropped, rotated and color-adjusted.
