MALI: Gondola project in several months, works to start by late 2017

Exploration works within the project of the gondola intended to link Kalemegdan to the New Belgrade coast of the Sava are in progress. As Mayor Sinisa Mali said, the project is expected in the next few months, and the works are being performed by the Ski Resorts of Serbia in order to determine the configuration of the terrain.

Mali added that the Government's agenda for the week also included amending the budget of the Ski Resorts in order to provide funds for the planning.

– The planning and the amendment of the detailed regulation plan should be completed in seven to eight months and we expect that the project will start by the end of 2017 – Mali said to the press.

This is a great project and a new attraction for people of Belgrade and tourists, as well as another opportunity to connect the two coasts, the mayor emphasized.

Mali reminded that the renovation of facades was in progress and that the city would renovate 35 of them, whereas the PE Gradsko Stambeno would renovate 22 facades. The city will renovate an additional 35 facades in 2017, whereas Gradsko Stambeno would renovate 67 of them.
