Euronews sees Serbia as leading Balkan tourist destination

Euronews, the most popular information channel in Europe and the most followed online multimedia platform, has estimated that Serbia is becoming the leading tourist destination in the Balkans.

During the recently held London WTM 2016, Euronews interviewed the director of the Tourism Organization of Serbia (TOS), Marija Labovic, who pointed out that a new strategic plan had been prepared for the period up till 2025 and that it would serve as the guideline for the future development of tourism.

– The Government of Serbia sees tourism as a chance for development and an important part of our economy, but also very important for building the image of our country as a whole. In that sense, tourism plays an important role and we wish to use this moment to intensify the promotion of Serbian tourism, especially in 2017 – Labovic pointed out, as reported by the TOS.
