The negotiations on the possibility of Emmezeta’s opening a shopping mall in Cacak started this August. The opening is expected in March in Preljina at the premises of the current Aman supermarket, which will be moved to the premises of the JYSK store.
The sale space with the area of 3,000 m2 will offer everything needed to furnish a home – from furniture, home appliances, electronics, dishes, to children’s toys.
The COO of Emmezeta for Serbia, Aleksandar Pavicevic, notified the mayor that the mall needed an additional 2,000 m2 of storage space and that the plan was for Emmezeta to open a job contest for 50 workers (economists, traders, warehouse workers...) immediately following the New Year.
Up until 2011, Emmezeta, along with Conforama, had been owned by the French corporation PPR, when it became ownership of the South African company Steinhoff International, which also bought the Austrian supermarket chain Kika-leiner in 2013.
Last year in Belgrade, an Emmezeta shopping mall opened in place of the former Kika store.
