Provincial Secretary for Urban Planning and Environmental Protection Vladimir Galic and Secretary for Energy, Construction and Transport Nenad Grbic talked on Wednesday, November 9, with representatives of the Turkish company Nurol, who expressed interest in participating in the construction of the high-speed route from Novi Sad to Ruma, the so-called Fruska Gora Corridor.

Nurettin Akdeniz and Serdar Uluocak, general manager and deputy general manager of Nurol, one of the leading companies in the construction sector in Turkey, pointed out that the company was interested in taking part in the construction of the corridor in the capacity satisfactory to both parties, the Provincial Government reported.

The company expressed interest in a public-private partnership with elements of concession and the option of participating in funding the entire project.

Secretaries Galic and Grbic informed the Turkish investors that the Fruska Gora Corridor projects had been included among the priority projects of national importance and presented the project documentation to Nurol's representatives.

Nurol has existed for more than five decades and operates in 18 countries in three continents. Among its numerous projects is the construction of the route from Istanbul to Izmir in the length of 400 kilometers, including a suspension bridge, the second largest one in Europe and the fourth largest one in the world.
