Nele Karajlic preparing play on Nikola Tesla and FBI – Premiere on November 19 in Novi Sad

Nenad Jankovic, a.k.a. Dr Nele Karajlic, has prepared a play about the chase of world intelligence agencies for Nikola Tesla's secret weapon.

To make things more interesting, the famous musician wrote the script two years ago, whereas the FBI admitted to having followed the great scientist only two months ago.

The play “FBI – The Tesla File”, written and directed by Karajlic, also starring as detective Nick Nelson, will premiere on November 19 on the Jovan Djordjevic Stage at Novi Sad's Serbian National Theater. This is a multimedia co-production of the SNT and the Tesla Global Forum in cooperation with the European Capital of Culture 2021 project.

The play is set in New York on January 7, 1943, when Tesla's death initiated a merciless chase of intelligence services for his secret weapon, capable of changing the course of the Second World War.

– Two or three years ago, Goran Maric, the initiator of the Tesla Global Forum association, and I got the idea to make a play about Tesla, one of the people who invented the 21st century – Karajlic said for the Novi Sad press.

The deceased Tesla is played by Nikola Rakocevic and the rest of the cast includes: Marko Gvero (Arturo Satti), Aleksandar Gajin (Mark Twain), Bojan Dimitrijevic (Pepe) and Nebojsa Savic (Russian spy). Nebojsa Glogovac is to play J. Edgar Hoover, the first director of the FBI.
