Aunde starts building new factory in Jagodina – Italians employing additional 400 workers

The Ministry of Economy and the Italian car component manufacturer Aunde Srb have signed an agreement on the construction of another factory in Jagodina. The Ministry of Economy has approved subsidies of EUR 3,461 per employee.

The agreement was signed by the state secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, and the owner of Aunde Srb, Enrico Vergnano, following which the founding stone was laid. An additional 400 workers will be employed in the new factory.

Aunde’s first Jagodina facility opened in 2014 and has employed 253 workers so far. Car seat covers for Fiat are sewn in the factory, and, according to the factory’s director, Jasna Vlajovic, the plan is to start producing for Iveco and Mercedes as well.

The president of the Municipal Assembly of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic Palma, earlier said that the new hall would be completed in April 2017, to be located in the industrial zone, around 500 meters away from the highway and the railway at Corridor 10.

Markovic added that, in January, the construction of a car tarpaulin factory of a German company, which supplied Confezione Andrea Serbia with reproduction material, would start. This is the first Italian factory in Jagodina. It opened in spring 2013 and it employs around 600 workers.
