Thorough preparations for redesign of Fiat 500L in progress – Italian experts arrive to Kragujevac

Thorough preparations for redesigning the Fiat 500L model are in progress at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), and one such vehicle covered in multicolored foil has been seen on the streets of Kragujevac during its test drive.

According to unofficial information from sources close to FCA, the appearance and characteristics of the redesigned Fiat 500L, which has been produced in Kragujevac since 2011, are being kept in deep secrecy, as is the date it should start being sold in the country and abroad.

The fact that a large number of experts are coming from Italy to work on modifying the model shows how serious the Italian manufacturer is about redesigning the current model, whose sales in the world market are lower than planned.

FCA employees expected the company to start producing the new model, thereby leading to increased utilization of factory capacities and better sales, but Fiat has decided to solve the issue by redesigning the current model, which is not an unusual practice in the car industry, Fonet writes.
