(Dusan Vujovic) Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic stated on Wednesday, October 26, that there was a budget surplus of RSD 30 billion at the moment, around RSD 150 billion more than planned.

– We planned for the deficit to be RSD 120 billion on this date, which is EUR 1 billion, and we have a surplus of RSD 30 billion. This means that there’s RSD 150 billion more than planned – Vujovic said at the parliament.

Compared to January 1, according to him, the debt has been reduced by EUR 650 million.

– We’ve gone down from EUR 24.8 billion to EUR 24.15 billion as a result of a better fiscal situation, that is, a lower deficit than planned. We have reduced the need for additional debts for financing the deficit by more than a billion – Vujovic said.

He emphasized that it didn’t mean we had money to waste and added that we had to refinance our receivables due.
