The Resava cave, which was visited by over 40,000 tourists last year, has got the new lighting system in all 8 halls, so that it now waits for the beginning of tourist season with the new looks - said the CEO of Public Company "Resava cave" Gordana Milošević.
- We have installed the complete lighting system in the cave. We've replaced the old one that used to increase temperature and was esthetically inadequate. The new lighting system has "cold" light, which protects microclimate, and it also has so-called "punk" light in case of power cut - Milošević explained.
- The funds for this investment, about 6m RSD, were provided by the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development - said she and added that that job had been planned long time ago, but that they had been waiting for the permit.
The area at 10 ha beneath the cave, which is protected by the state, will also be revitalized. Reconstruction of toilets and substation is also in the pipeline.
Tourist season starts at the beginning of April, and the price of ticket this year will be 170 RSD for kids and 220 for grown-ups. The cave will be open between 9 AM and 5 PM.
