AT&T buys Time Warner for over USD 80 billion – CNN and HBO get new owner

The American telecommunications giant AT&T has reached an agreement on the purchase of Time Warner, owner of CNN, HBO and Warner Brothers. The transaction worth USD 80 billion will thoroughly change the state of the American media.
