"Carlsberg Serbia" plans to increase market share to 25%

Company "Carlsberg Serbia" announced yesterday (March 4, 2008) that it planned to increase its market share in 2008 from 22 to 25%.

The Chief Executive of "Carlsberg Serbia", Aleksandar Radosavljević, said at the press conference that the company would invest 38m EUR in 2008 in the improvement of operations.

He reminded that, since 2004, when "Carslberg" had bought brewery "Čelarevo", it had invested total of 118m EUR in it. Radosavljević announced hiring of new workers, adding that "Carslberg Serbia" currently has about 540 workers and that it plans to increase it by the end of the year to 586.

- Last year, total sales amounted to 1.5m hl of beer and the growth by 21.9% was registered - said he. According to his words, the capacities of the brewery in 2008 will be increased to 2m hl.
