Kusturica building ethereal oil distillery at Bileca

Movie director Emir Kusturica is planning to raise an ethereal oil distillery in the territory of Drakuljica, Municipality of Bileca.

– Some other projects are also being planned – confirmed the head of the spatial planning and housing and utility department of Bileca, Radenko Popara.

Popara says that he has talked with Kusturica on several occasions this year and that the director intends to plant immortelle on 50 hectares and to raise the distillery on the other 50.

– We last talked to Kusturica some two weeks ago and, according to his plans, the realization of the project should begin next spring – Popara says.

He points out that he expects the request by Kusturica for the purchase of 50 hectares to be submitted theses days, as well as for the lease of the identical amount of land, which will be on the agenda of the next working session of the Municipal Assembly of Bileca.

Kusturica has chosen Bileca, Popara says, because it's an area where immortelle can prosper, but also because the director originates in the Bileca village of Plana.

– Kusturice has other ideas as well when it comes to Bileca – Popara said and added that the director had announced that the premiere of the movie On the Milky Road would take place there.
