Netherlands invested 1.1m EUR in development of tourism in the valley of the Drina since 2005

The Kingdom of Netherlands has invested 1.1m EUR in the past three years in the project for tourism development in the valley of the Drina river, which is being realized in eight municipalities of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was confirmed today (March 4, 2008) in Užice by the representatives of CARE organization, which is the project coordinator.


The funds from the donation of the Dutch Government have been used in Ljubovijia for the making of souvenirs, project for construction of bungalows has been implemented in Bajina Baštam while the donations in Priboj were used for organization of local spa resort.

The donor has already set aside 51,000 EUR for the development of tourism in Municipality of Užice. This year's donations will be used for financing of works on organization of Potpećka Cave, as well as for education of suppliers of services in rural tourism.
