Development of Niska Banja industrial zone begins – Value of works around RSD 38 million

The state secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, stated on Saturday, October 15, on the occasion of the beginning of works on the LOZNI Kalem industrial zone in Niska Banja, that the development of the zone had been waited on for 16 years.

– We are glad to be a part of this project, which will without a doubt be completed if the local self-government and the city administration work responsibly and properly – Stevanovic said, as stated in the report.

According to him, the Ministry of Economy has supported the infrastructural projects as a part of the program of support to development of industrial zones.

The project entails works on building the water and sewage system in the amount of around RSD 38 million. The ministry has set aside a little over RSD 19 million for the works, which should be completed within 90 days.

Stevanovic said that the ministry was ready to continue supporting Niska Banja the next year as well, in order to pave the roads in the zone, and added that potential investors had already shown interest in raising a factory and an aqua park.

– This is a big thing for Nis and everyone should use the Government of Serbia’s decision to seriously focus on the city – Stevanovic emphasized.

He reminded that the ministry had been present in Nis for two years through two projects, one of which was being implemented in cooperation with the European investment Bank.
