"Gorenje" realized incomes worth 1.3 billion EUR in 2007 - profit increased by 6.3%

Slovenian group "Gorenje" has announced that it realized consolidated net income in amount of 1.3 billion EUR in 2007, or 16.4% more than in 2006, and exceeded the plan by 7.7%.

At the same time, the company's profit has been increased by 6.3%, to 23.7m EUR.

Executive Manager of Gorenje, Franjo Bobinac, said that the Administrative Board was satisfied with the results, among the rest, because the year 2007 was "another year with exceptionally high growth of prices of raw materials and strong pressure on product price".

Bobinac has also expressed hope that the situation in western Balkans will not have negative effects on the operations.
