Red Bull to start making beer in 2017

The head of the Austrian energy drink producer Red Bull, Dietrich Mateschitz, has announced that he will try his hand at producing beer. According to Standard, preparations for the production of beer in Styria should begin in 2017.

Eight years ago, Mateschitz bought a spring in the municipality of Pols, including an old castle, 15 kilometers away from Red Bull Ring in Spielberg. Spring mineral water used to be bottled there, and beer will start flowing soon.

According to insiders, the old castle will be reconstructed in 2017, along with the installation of a filling plant, and the activities will be expanded to include hospitality services. The plan is to supply local Red Bull companies with beer.
