"Gucci" - world's most desirable designer brand

Fashion brand "Gucci" is the world's most desirable designer brand since every fifth consumer would buy products bearing that trademark if money was not an issue. This was shown by the poll conducted by market research company "Nielsen".
In online poll, in which more than 25,000 people from 48 countries took part, the second and the third place were shared by "Chanel" and "Calvin Clein", while the fourth was "Louis Vuitton", "Christian Dior",
"Versace", as well as the first-ranked in similar poll in 2006 - "Giorgio
Armani".
The polled people from India and United Arab Emirates proved to be the greatest fans of "Gucci" brand. Total of 41% and 37% of the polled people from these two countries stated that they would rather buy "Gucci" products than any of 24 trademarks from their countries.
- In the past two years, "Gucci" managed to maintain and even increase the value of the brand in one highly competitive industry, such as fashion industry. That is achieved through constant building of key values of the brand in all products, from perfume and sunglasses to fashion accessories - jewelry, purses and clothes - said president of "Nielsen" for Europe, Patrick Dodd.
Company "Gucci", which is owned by the French retail group PPR, was "ressurected" in mid-1990's by former managers Tom Ford and Domeniko de Sole, who made famous bags with bamboo handles, horse shoe motive and logo with two intertwisted letters "G" modern and profitable.
