- Police dogs in Dusseldorf will get shoes in order to protect themselves from possible injuries from broken glass or drug syringes - the Police Administration of this German city announced.

The new equipment will start to be used in mid-March, after several trial weeks.

The idea for protection footwear for dogs was taken from the US Police, but German variant of shoes is light blue and has reinforced soles.

The shoes are available in all sizes, from extra small to extra large, and the set of four pieces cost about 60 EUR.
