Borja Hotel near Paracin to be reconstructed – Sisevac resort to get a four-star facility

The Sisevac resort near Paracin, formerly a resort for miners from Resavica, now a favorite destination for people of Paracin and Pomoravlje, above all Jagodina and Cuprija, will soon get a four-star hotel.

– The hotel will have an area of around 7,000 square meters, 45 rooms and four apartments, a meeting hall with 120 seats, a wellness center with an area of 1,000 square meters – said architect Dejan Ilic.

The project, which was publicly presented in August and didn't receive any objections, was prepared by the Paracin-based Domus Design Studio. The preparation of the conceptual design and the request for receiving building requirements are in progress.

– The facility has been designed to be a high energy building, to be heated by thermal water and to be very well insulated. It will have green, that is, grass roofs, which is a world trend – Ilic said.

He explained that the reconstruction and extension of the existing Borja Hotel with an area of 5,000 square meters was being carried out, so that the facility would fit into a 7,000 square meter functional whole.

Tourist workers of Paracin estimate that the new hotel will expand the rich tourist offer of the city and generate tourist offer in the Pomoravlje region.

The famous Sisojevac monastery is located in Sisevac. The monastery is dedicated to the Transfiguration of Jesus and was built in the 14th century. In summer, pools and the 400-seat restaurant Potocara are open in Sisevac.

Sisevac is located 160 km away from Belgrade, 20 km away from the exit from the Belgrade-Nis highway at Cuprija, and around 10 km away from the medieval Ravanica monastery towards Senjski Rudnik.
