Long wedding dress - long marriage?

The longest Chinese wedding dress, 999 meters long, was presented in the trade center in Dailjan, the city in the northwest of China. Manually woven scarlet wedding dress was made of 2008 pieces of jade and it is decorated with 29 golden finixes and 880 clinchers. It took three months for the tailors and needlewomen to finish this extra long "composition".

This unusual wedding dress is made to the honor of the Olympic Games that will be organized this summer in Peking, and sponsors were business corporations that will financially support this sports manifestation. The wedding dress contains elements of Chinese culture on the traditional red bed.

When the job was finished, the creators experiences the greatest disappointment. Namely, they learned that their masterpiece was only the world's second longest. In february 2007, the wedding dress 1,362 meters long was made on Cyprus. The Chinese forgot to look into the Guinness Book of Records. However, the masters from Dalijan still hold primacy for the best decorated long wedding dress.
