New license plates starting July 6th - the same symbols for all towns and cities as before

The new Rule book, which was signed by Minister Dragan Jočić on January 24th, and published in new "Official Bulletin", replaced the last-year rule book that caused protests in several municipalities.
According to the rule book from year 2007, Serbia was supposed to be divided into 34 registration areas, and Aranđelovac, Vršac, Gornji
Milanovac, Loznica, Paraćin, Priboj, Ruma and Trstenik were supposed to stay without their plates. According to the new rule book, number of registration areas will be 59.
The new rule book will be put in effect on July 6th, as well as application of rule book about registration of motor vehicles, which stipulates the looks of the plates and registration licenses, and issuing of new license plates and registration licenses.
All towns and cities that have registration symbols will have the same symbols in the future. These are: Aranđelovac (AR),
Belgrade (BG), Bor (BO), Valjevo (VA), Vranje (VR), Vršac (VŠ), Gnjilane
(GL), Gornji Milanovac (GM), Đakovica (ĐA), Zaječar (ZA), Zrenjanin
(ZR), Jagodina (JA), Kikinda (KI), Kragujevac (KG), Kraljevo (KV),
Kosovska Mitrovica (KM), Kruševac (KŠ), Leskovac (LE), Loznica (LO),
Niš (NI), Novi Pazar (NP), Novi Sad (NS), Pančevo (PA), Peć (PE),
Paraćin (PN), Pirot (PI), Požarevac (PO), Prizren (PZ), Priboj (PB),
Priština (PR), Prokuplje (PK), Ruma (RU), Smederevo (SD), Sombor (SO),
Sremska Mitrovica (SM), Subotica (SU), Trstenik (TS), Užice (UE),
Uroševac (UR), Čačak (ČA) and Šabac (ŠA).
The new license plates will be white, with the blue field on the left where international symbol of Serbia - SRB, will be printed.
The coat of arms will be printed next to the symbol of the city, while on the right, instead of combination of four to six figures, there will be combination of three or four figures and two letters.
