Multinational company "Kraft" will make regional center for countries of former SFRY and Albania in Serbia by the end of the next year.
The CEO of "Kraft" for Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia,
Aleksandar Rašković, said that the headquarters would be moved from Vienna to Belgrade before July, and that the central warehouse, which is now settled in Austria, would be moved by the end of year 2009.
- "Kraft" will not give up its plan to move regional center to Serbia for the current political situation in Serbia, following the declaration of indpendence of Kosovo, because we anticipated this situation when we were making the decision about that -
said Rašković.
According to his words, people in "Kraft" believe that everything will be settled in a week or two and that the whole country will turn towards European Union and economic progress.
- Settling of the regional center in Serbia would mean reduction of duties that currently amount to 30% for the confectioneries, which makes the prices of our products in Serbia 30% higher than in, for example, Germany - said Rašković. The prices will be lower, which is good for consumer, as well as for Serbian confectionery companies, because much too high customs protection can make them relax instead of focus on how to export their products to the markets in western Europe.
Multinational company and one of the world's largest companies for food production, "Kraft", is the owner of large number of famous food brands, such as chocolates "milka" and "toblerone" and coffee "jacobs"
