(Ana Brnabic) Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Ana Brnabic stated on Sunday, September 18, that the IT sector was the largest exporter at the moment and that the government's aim was to make it four times bigger in the next two years.
Brnabic said that Serbia needed to have as many IT experts as possible for that reason and that she would visit Novi Sad the next Friday to talk to companies' representatives.
– I talked to the mayor of Novi Sad about organizing a large meeting with those companies. We want them to tell us what needs to be done and where more experts are needed – said Brnabic on TV Pink.
The minister added that there would talk about how to create as many IT experts as possible and how those who couldn't find jobs might be qualified and said that there lied a great potential of Serbian entrepreneurship.
– I talked to those companies and even said that, if they have problems with tenders, believe that they are rigged or that anything illegal is being done, they should come to my cabinet and tell me – Brnabic.
She pointed out that the government needed to talk to citizens, see what needs to be done, because strategies and action plans, while good, were mid-term and long-term solutions.
– I'm focusing on doing something with immediate effects – Brnabic said.
