Excise taxes on cigarettes and alcoholic drinks brought in accord with inflation

Government of Serbia made the decision about bringing excise taxes on cigarettes and alcoholic drinks in accord with the last-year inflation.

Since February 15, excise tax on cigarettes is 8.48 RSD per box. Starting from January 1st, 2009, it will amount to 8.92 RSD per box.

In 2010, excise tax on cigarettes will be 13.32 RSD per box, in 2011 – 14.20 RSD, and in 2012 – 14.97 RSD per box.

Since February 15, excise tax on fruit brandies, grape brandies, as well as on special brandies, is 74.30 RSD per liter, while excise tax on brandies made of cereals and other agricultural raw materials amounts to 188.50 RSD per liter.

Excise tax on spirits and liquors is 120.82 RSD per liter, whereas the excise tax on low-alcohol drinks and beer amounts to 12.41 RSD per liter.
