French interested in Belgrade projects worth EUR 1.5 billion

French companies are interested in several projects in Belgrade, the realization of which will be discussed in Paris, during the official visit by the Serbian delegation, which includes the mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali.

French companies have shown interest in projects whose total value is around EUR 1.5 billion, not including the projects of building a subway and reconstructing and extending the Nikola Tesla Airport, for which the necessary studies have not yet been prepared, the City Administration says.

The company Dalkia has shown interest in cooperating with PUE Beogradske Elektrane, Bouygues is interested in several real estate development projects, whereas representatives of two French companies talked about a waste water treatment facility project in Veliko Selo.

When it comes to the subway project, a “smart” plan is currently being prepared, covering the entire city traffic system, which will contain proposed subway lines and ways of funding the construction.

The mayor of Belgrade will also take a tour of the construction site of the Viroflay subway while in Paris.
