One Canadian billionaire, who already owns the copyrights for publication "Ripley - Believe It or Not", has purchase the copyrights for the Guinness Book of Records.

Company "Jim Pattison" announced on Saturday (February 16, 2008) that it had bought the copyrights for the Guinness Book of Records from British company "Hit entertainment".

However, the announcement does not state the price of the copyrights, but British media claim that it amounts to about 60m GBP (118m USD).
