Erste Bank announced today (February 14, 2008) that trading in its stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) would start that day. The stocks of Erste Bank are the first foreign stocks to be traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and they carry the international identification number for the securities: AT0000652011.

By appearing on the list, Erste Bank will fulfill its obligation to list its stocks on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, so that the workers in BCR (Banca Comerciala Romana) can carry out local trading. This refers to those workers who accepted the offer of Erste Bank to exchange their stocks of BCR for the stocks of Erste Bank in November 2006.

Stocks of Erste Bank that will be traded on the Bucharest Stock Exchange are completely replaceable with the Austrian stocks, but they will be traded in Romanian national currency (lej).
