The president of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Vladimir Kostic, stated yesterday that Serbia was divided into “groups and islands which don’t communicate with each other” and added that the Academy was providing that kind of communication.

– The groups and islands don’t communicate with each other, and they are often suspicious of each other. If we know anything, and we do, we can provide that kind of communication – said Kostic at the reception organized in the home of the Serbian business club Privrednik.

The president of the SASA said that the Academy had recently had a meeting about the relationship between the economy and science and that the next one would deal with culture.

– There too, everyone has their place and role, a responsibility they’re not fully aware of, with a motto of “disagreement without resentment” – Kostic said.

Privrednik was founded in 2002 as a voluntary, independent and non-profit association of successful businessmen and other public figures with the aim of improving entrepreneurship and management in Serbia.
