Serbian electric bicycle most beautiful in the world

The Serbian electric bicycle made by the Belgrade-based company Ono Bikes is the most beautiful one in the world according to BBC.

The world media corporation has published the list of the most beautiful bicycles in 2016, headed by The Archont, the first model of the Serbian electric bicycle producer. The bicycle is handcrafted and unique in design and technology.

The prestigious acknowledgment followed the Ono Bikes prominent presentation at the Pioneers Festival in Vienna this May, supported by the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

– This is the most positive surprise so far for us, the most important acknowledgment and a great incentive for further development, and our new models will be even better, faster, more comfortable and attractive. In addition to the confirmation that our team is doing a great job, we have gotten the best recommendation to potential investors, above all those from America and Western Europe – stated Marko Scepanovic, a co-founder and CEO of the company.

The top spot on the BBC list, they say at Ono Bike, is that much more significant considering that the development of and the demand for electro-bikes have become a 21st century trend and that the number of manufacturers and models keeps growing year after year.

– They are the future of our economy: creative young people and their technologically innovative and impeccably designed products. The excellence of the Serbian electric bicycle has been recognized by The Guardian, which has placed it among the top five items of the future, and now by the BBC, which has pronounced it the most beautiful electric bicycle in the world. I am convinced that its value will be recognized by investors and customers and that this will be the next piece of great news coming from the world – said Marko Cadez, president of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia.

Ono Bikes is a brand of the Belgrade-based startup Ono d.o.o, whose aim is to position itself in the world market as one of the key e-bike industry brands, to develop electric bicycle engines so that the product would be 100% “made in Serbia”, and its long-term goal is to implement its developing technology in other electric vehicles as well.
