Sale of Telekom Srbija still not discussed

The director general of Telekom Srbija, Predrag Culibrk, stated that the sale of the company was still not being discussed.

Culibrk said that the company looked to maintain its value, offer new products and services, and the issue of privatization would be decided on by the owner, the Government of Serbia.

Commenting on Telekom's status, as the company mentioned the Fiscal Council in its report, he said that “Telekom is going full speed ahead”.

In early 2016, the Government of Serbia decided not to privatize Telekom Srbija.

The Fiscal Council assessed yesterday that, although the current fiscal trends were much more favorable than expected, the biggest risks to local public finances arising from unreformed public and state-owned enterprises had not yet been mitigated.
