Insurance company "Uniqa" registered 50% growth of premiums in 2007

Austrian Insurance company "UNIQA" has announced that it registered the growth of insurance premiums in Serbia in 2007 in amount of 50%, and that they reached amount of 20.4m EUR.
"Uniqa" registered the highest growth rates in field of health insurance and property coverages, where the premiums were doubled, while life insurance grew by 55% in 2007.
- We are very satisfied with our results in 2007. In spite of the fact that that was the year of transition, our preliminary results point to the fact that we realized the largest market growth and that we fulfilled all our plans concerning turnover and profit - said President of the Administrative Board "Uniqa" Zoran Višnjić.
That Austrian insurance company plans to introduce solution for comprehensive private health insurance, to continue development of preferential partnership with Raiffeisen bank and to work on introduction of solution for insurance for leasing companies in 2008.

UNIQA operates on the market of Serbia since the end of year
2006, when it bought 80% of stocks of "Zepter" insurance company.
"UNIQA Group" realized the income 5.3 billion EUR, which represents 3.3% growth against year 2006, and the income before taxation (IFRS) in amount of 340m EUR, which represents the growth of 43%. "UNIQA" is present in 20 countries of Europe.
