Border crossing on Debeli Brijeg to be opened on July 13, EU invested 2.5 million EUR

Construction of new border crossing towards Croatia, on Debeli Brijeg, is almost finished. All vocational works have already been completed and this modern crossing will be opened on July 13.
Four entrance and four exit lanes have been built in order to quicken the border passing. The police and the customs will be settled in the central facility, whereas big warehouse for goods will be located not so far away.
The crossing has been built in the form of a gull with spread wings. The project was elaborated by "Kov atelje" from Nikšić. The contractor is Banja Luka-based "Integral", which opened the building site on FEbruary 15 this year. Although they had 35 rainy days, the workers of this company managed to meet the deadline.
The new border crossing is located some 800 meters south from the point where they used to be before. It had to be built more in the south because the er point was open on the spot where high rocks stand and construction of wide crossing was impossible without some big finance.
The new border crossing on Debeli Brijeg was financed by EU and the entire job costs 2.5 million EUR.
