Extension of deadline for privatization of Leskovac-based "Jugekspres"

Privatization Agency has extended the deadline for privatization of 70% of public capital in Transportation Company "Jugekspres" for anothe 15 days, that is, prior to the end of February. Documentation for privatization of this company has been bought by two companies.

Slobodan Andrejević, the CEO of "Jugekspres", points out that the privatization process in that company entered the final phase, and the deadline is extended because the future buyer is expected to offer better price.

- We hope that the buyer will be from our branch, because this company has recognizable name and infrastructure - says Andrejević.

People from "Jugekspres" hope that the future buyer will invest significant funds in procurement of modern buses, which will make transportation more comfortable and cleaner.

By the way, the payment of severance pays to the remaining 75 workers who decided to live the company voluntarily should be completed by the end of this month. Until few years ago, "Jugekspres" had over 700 workers and, after the privatization, it will probably have only about 250 of them.
