Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic said that everything was pointing to 2016 being a record-setting tourist year and that the number of tourists had increased by 13% in the first six months.

– The foreign exchange inflow increased by 14% and the number of overnight stays by 15% in the first six months. We also had Beer Fest and the Guca festival – Ljajic said.

According to him, 44,000 vouchers were handed out to local tourists, which shows that Serbia has great tourist potential.

– Another 2,000 vouchers remain. I invite all those who intend to spend a part of their vacation in spas and at Serbian mountain resorts to use them – Ljajic said.
