Economist Dimitrije Boarov said that the exchange of goods between Croatia and Serbia is in strong and continuous development and that it amounted to about 850m USD in 2007, which is 38% more than in 2006.

At the panel discussion dedicated to the assumptions of good neighboring relations between Serbia and Croatia, he said that there was a disbalance of export-import flows of goods to the benefit of Croatia.

That country exported goods wort 475m USD to Serbia in 2007, while the value of the goods Serbian exported to Croatian market was 301.8m USD.

Boarov pointed out that Croatia was currently twice as economically developed as Serbia and that the economy of that country was much more involved in European market, specifying that the export of Croatia to the countries of European Union in 2007 amounted to nearly 50%, while Serbia's export to the same countries amounted to only 20%.

That economist also pointed out that Croatian businessmen had invested about 382m EUR in Serbia in 2007, and that the investments of Serbian businessmen in Croatia were insignificantly small.
