Deadline extended for delivery of bids for procurement of "Lasta" - March 7th

Privatization Agency has announced on its web
site that it made the decision to extend the deadline for delivery of bids for
procurement of Belgrade-based transportation company “Lasta” prior to
March 7th. The previous deadline for bids was February 8, 2008.
Privatization Agency announced tender for sale of 64.4% of stocks of “Lasta” in mid-November 2007. The condition for participation in the tender for “Lasta” was that the potential buyer is in transportation business for minimum last three years, that it uses minimum 250 buses and that it has business income of minimum 150m EUR, either independently or through dependent companies where it has at least 50% of ownership.
Belgrade-based "Lasta" deals with transportation, tourism, catering, trade and services. Its motor pool consists of 785 buses. This company is present on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, and the last price its stocks achieved was 3,199 RSD.
The CEO of this Belgrade-based transportation company, Velibor Sovrović, said earlier that several respectable European companies from England, France and Israel were interested in "Lasta".
He also said that that company was ready for privatization, since it had the restructuring program and development program for the next five years.
