Construction of factory for production of ferro-silicon in Majdanpek - jobs for 250 workers

In the industrial zone of Majdanpek, not far away from the Factory of copper tubing, construction of the state-of-the-arts foundry for production of ferro-silicon, the material required for normal functioning of ironworks, has started. This project, worth more than 40m EUR, is financed by Slovenian company "Ferolegure" from Ruše.

- The factory will have two furnaces and up-to-date equipment that satisfies the highest ecological criteria. About 250 workers will get jobs - said Dragana Popović, Mayor of Majdanpek.

Slovenians have already signed contracts on procurement of electricity with the representatives of Electric Power Company of Serbia.
