Ministry of Labor and Social Policy of Serbia has announced that it will start "active" fight against employers who, when hiring women, ask them to promise not to give birth or dismiss them after they give birth to a child.
Assistant to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Bojan Anđelković, said that supervision of employers would be stronger and that the reactions on women's complaints would be faster.
He reminded that the draft Strategy for stimulation of procreation, which was adopted by the Government of Serbia last week, anticipates series of measures that should provide financial support to the couples with children.
