The sales and service center for Jaguar and Land Rover (JLR) vehicles, in which sever million euros have been invested and which will employ 50 workers, will open in Belgrade in September, stated the managing director of British Motors, Dusan Tomic.

– The works on the new sales and service British Motors JLR center are in their final stages, but the service section has been fully equipped and ready to provide premium service to Jaguar and Land Rover owners since August 2 – he said for Beta.

He also said that he expected that the JLR center would start working in full capacity in early September and estimated that it would be the most modern sales and service center not just in Serbia and the region but in the entire East Europe as well.

– At the same time, this will be the only authorized service for Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in Serbia. The opening ceremony, which will be attended by high representatives of the JLR Group, is planned for mid-September – Tomic said.

The exclusive right of representation of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles has been granted to Bavaria Motors, which will be present in the market under the name of British Motors.

Tomic reminded that the tender for the representation of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles in Serbia had been called the previous year, and that Bavaria Motors had qualified thanks to its years of experience in the automotive industry and its work with premium car brands.

He estimated that the opening of a center for premium vehicles would provide an additional positive signal that the automotive industry market in Serbia had stabilized.

According to him, JLR's development is the most dynamic in the premium automobile segment, with the aim of doubling the global sales by 2020 to over a million vehicles sold, which will be aided by the launch of 12 new models in the next four years.

– This year, three entirely new Jaguar and Land Rover models will arrive to the JLR center in Belgrade – he said and added that the plan was to sell 150 vehicles of both brands in Serbia in the first fiscal year (before March 31 2017).

He also said that JLR had sold around 520,000 vehicles in the fiscal year 2016, an increase of 13% relative to 2015, with most vehicles sold in Great Britain, Europe and North America.

– Last year, the sale of 100 cars of both premium brands was recorded in Serbia – he emphasized and estimated that the Serbian market of premium vehicles had been stable since 2011.
