Italians to buy Belgrade-based Nova Banka

Findomestic Bank from Florence has signed the contract and obliged to buy at least 95% of the assets of Nova Banka whose headquarters are settled in Belgrade. This bank also has about 20 branches and offices all around Serbia. By the way, Findomestic Bank is a part of Italian-French banking group formed by Gruppo Banca CR Florence and BNP Paribas.

The agreement implies valorization of Nova Banka and, in order to make contract operative, the authorized Serbian and Italian agencies should approve of entire business until the end of this year.

On the ocassion of signing of the contract on purchase of Serbian bank, the bank from Florence announced that the basic aim of the issue was spreading of the Italian model in the distribution of the cash credits.

Findomestic bank is one of the leading banks in Italy as far as cash credits are concerned. In 2004, that bank approved over 5 billion EUR through cash credits to the citizens of Italy.
