Italian investors in Zrenjanin - possibility of widening economic cooperation taken in consideration

Representatives of Italian city of Kijeti and Zrenjanin talked yesterday (January 28, 2008) about possibilities of widening economic cooperation and investments. The expert meeting that was initiated by Italian organization Central-European Initiative is a part of ZIP-NET project, which is realized by cities of Kijeti and Zrenjanin.
As one could hear on that occasion, foreign-trade exchange between Italy and Serbia is growing. Italy exports vehicles and industrial machines to Serbia, as well as clothing, thanks to lone deals.
- The aim of this cooperation is to increase competitiveness through realization or improvement of structure of services for entrepreneurs. The aim of ZIP-NET project is to promote development of entrepreneurship. Realization of this project is a part of Adriatic Interreg program, which is financed by European Union - Fabio Korsi, CEO of Italian Foreign TRade Institute in Belgrade, announced and added that Italian investors were willing to invest in agriculture.
At the meeting in Zrenjanin, one could have also heard the information that organization Central-European Initiative was present in 18 European countries and that it helped Italian companies which wanted to do their business in other countries. Participants in the expert meeting were mayors of Kijeti and Zrenjanin, Frančesko Riči and Goran Knežević, representatives of the Office of Central-European Initiative, Fund for Capital Investments, Regional Chamber of Commerce of Zrenjanin and businessmen.
