The tourist organization of the municipality of Bogatic is holding the traditional boat race Hajduk Regatta on August 7. Around 100 boats and at least 700 aficionados will participate in the event. The race starts at 10 a.m. in Macvanski Prnjavor, with a short rest in Badovinci, and the participants are expected to arrive at the finish line in Crna Bara around 6 p.m.

The regatta is being held within the cultural-entertainment event Hajduk Nights, dedicated to the preservation of the tradition and culture of the Macva area, and it is inspired by the motifs of the novel Hajduk Stanko by Janko Veselinovic. The program encompasses several locations in the municipality of Bogatic, with a central site in Crna Bara.

Hajduk Nights mark five decades of existence this year and include a Harambasa Competition, a Macvan Wedding, the Hajduk Regatta, a hunters and fishermen competition, an exhibition of artworks from the arts colony at Sovljak, a competition for the most beautiful fiacre, a handicraft exhibition and a full array of cultural, arts and entertainment events.

The holding of the event has been assisted by the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and the Regional Rural Developments Standing Working Group (SWG), an international organization made up of state institutions in Southeastern Europe responsible for agriculture and rural development.
